About the Artist
Bonnie
is not an artist by profession, and in fact, has had no artistic training.
These drawings were intuitively inspired at specific times in her life
and they are not something she can just sit down and draw at will.
She chose the name “CHITTA”
to sign her work with,
because it is the Buddhist word for both MIND and HEART. And it is this inseparable
Oneness of mind and heart that she is seeking to integrate creatively into her
life, both personally and professionally.
The Madonna Series are intuitive, energetic pen and ink drawings that
represent the many aspects of the feminine or goddess energies within each of
us. Woven into the drawings are
healing symbols, sacred geometry, and the conscious energies contained within
the numerological values of 3, 4, 7, 8, and 12.

The Third Eye Madonna represents the power and wisdom that vibrates within each woman and is her connection to the Divine and her higher self. As she grows and matures on her journey towards spiritual essence, she radiates this energy ever more strongly and it touches and affects those she encounters in a special way. When aligned with it, it becomes one of her healing gifts for herself, others and the planet.
The Spiral Madonna contains within her the energies of self-renewal that comprise the ever changing spiritual path of a woman; joyful, conscious and expanded at times, sorrowful, contracted and painful at others. But always, if she embraces the process of death and rebirth without judgment, it moves her forward and lifts her to ever higher states of Being and Awareness. It is within this spiral of growth and renewal that she gains true wisdom and the understanding of who she really is.
The Heart Madonna contains within it the energy of love in its purest form and highest vibration. It is the free gift of unconditional love granted by spirit for ourselves, our spouse or significant other, our children, relatives, the global community, the planet and all its creation within. It is our deepest connection to and with the Divine. It embraces us with the real knowing the we are ALL ONE!!!
The Chakra Madonna contains within her the energies associated with each of the seven main energy centers of the body. These energies nourish, not only the physical body, but also the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each person. These energies need just as much attention and care as the other aspects of our bodies, and are very important to keep in balance.
The Petroglyph Madonna represents the energies and wisdom of our beloved ancestors. She contains the stories, rituals and traditions of our particular culture and heritage. She tells us who we are, where we came from, and how to be in the world we live in. She engenders respect for those who have come before us and those who will come after us, and is our connection to them.
Mother Earth Madonna carries within her the sacred energies of land, sea and sky that give us life and nurture us each day. She also represents the energetic care and concern we need to extend her to help heal what we have so brutally ravaged over the past century. She has richly blessed us with her bounty and now it is we who need to extend our loving arms to embrace and protect her in whatever way presents itself.
